How long does logo design take?
From a few minutes on a generator to several months at an agency. What actually takes the time, what should not, and how long ours takes.

The honest range
A generated logo takes minutes. A freelancer will often deliver a first round in a week or two. A studio usually takes a few weeks, and a large agency several months. Most of that difference is not drawing time.
Where the time actually goes
Waiting. For a brief, for feedback, for a decision from someone who was not on the last call. In most projects the design is a small part of the calendar and the scheduling is the rest of it.
What should take time
Understanding who you compete with and why buyers choose them, then drawing the mark and testing it at every size it will be used. A logo checked only at the size it was drawn at is a logo that will fail somewhere.
What should not
Rounds of revisions with no criteria, and approvals that need five people. Agree at the start who decides and what the logo has to do, and most of the delay disappears.
How long ours takes
Our full run is three weeks from brief to handover, with your input at the start and at set approval points. The logo design sits inside that run, and the process page shows what happens in each week.
