The questions people actually ask.
If yours is not here, write to us and a person will answer it.
How the engagement runs .
-
Founders who are winning on the work and losing on the pitch, priced against cheaper competitors because nothing about how they present says otherwise.
-
Three weeks from brief to handover: audit, positioning, identity system, then build and hand over.
-
A brief at the start and a sign-off at the end. Nothing in between needs a meeting.
-
Yes, outright. You get working files, templates and a written guide, with nothing rented back and no retainer needed to stay consistent.
-
Revisions happen at the approval points, where they are already costed into the schedule. Changes asked for outside them move the handover date, and we tell you by how much before starting.
-
No. The identity is designed, not generated.
-
Yes. Build and handover is the fourth phase. The site is designed and shipped as part of the same run, not quoted separately afterwards.
-
One structured brief. It asks the questions we have learned actually change the work, and none of the ones that only make a form look thorough.
-
Yes, logo design is its own service. What it does not carry is the system around the mark. Type, colour and the usage rules live in the identity work, and without them a logo drifts the first time somebody else opens the file.
-
No. Positioning is the second phase. Arriving with it settled is welcome and speeds the run up, but working it out is part of what you are buying.
-
We give direction: what each page has to say, in what order, in the language settled during positioning. Writing the finished copy is not part of the run.
-
Hosting, domains and any third-party licences stay in your name, so nothing is rented through us. Photography and video production are not covered either. Each service on the services page states its own boundary, so you can see where it stops before you buy it.
-
Because the time normally goes on scheduling rather than on work. The four phases run back to back, your input lands at the start and the end, and nothing sits waiting on a calendar.
-
Nothing has to. You hold the working files, the templates and a written guide, so your team can run it without us. Ongoing exists for teams who would rather we stayed on hand, and it is a choice rather than a condition.
-
We would rather you did not. Every page is drawn on the identity system, so building the site first means settling the same argument twice. If your identity is already documented, say so in the brief and we will work from it.
-
Run the diagnostic. Four questions on what you sell and who buys it, about a minute, and it needs no reply from us. It will tell you where the gap is before you commit to anything.
The ones with a document behind them.
-
What happens to my money if I cancel?
You pay for the phases that started and not for the ones that did not. Cancel before the audit begins and the deposit is returned in full. The refund policy sets out where the line falls at each phase.
-
What do you do with the details I send you?
We keep your name, email and answers so we can reply, and nothing else. Google Analytics loads on every page in consent mode, anonymous and cookieless until you allow it; allow it and it measures page views, anonymised, and sets its cookies. It is stated in full, and is checkable, on the privacy page.
-
Can you keep the work confidential until we launch?
Yes. Say so at the brief and we will hold it. If you would rather we never showed it, that is fine too, and it does not change the price.
-
Do you clear the name or mark for trademark?
No, and nobody designing should tell you otherwise. A design review is not a trademark search. Have an attorney clear it in the territories you trade in. We will work alongside whoever does.
