Brand guidelines
One brand. One rulebook.
Brand guidelines, or the brand style guide, are the rulebook that keeps a brand consistent everywhere: logo, colour, type, voice and how they all behave. We write guidelines your whole team can actually follow, so the brand stays sharp long after we hand it over.
What a brand style guide covers
- Logo & usage
- Every version of the mark, the space it needs, and what never to do to it.
- Colour
- The palette in every format, with exact values and where each one goes.
- Typography
- The type system, the scale, and how it is set.
- Voice & tone
- How the brand sounds, with real examples.
- Imagery & graphics
- The look of photography, illustration and the supporting graphics.
- Motion
- How it moves and behaves, wherever motion applies.
- Do & don't
- The rules made obvious, so anyone can keep it right.
A brand is only as consistent as its rules.
Guidelines are what keep a brand from drifting the moment more than one person touches it. We build them clear enough that a new hire, a freelancer and a printer all get it right. They come with our full branding, or we write them for a brand you already have. See what it costs →
Guidelines, in practice.
A style guide only matters when the brand lives by it. See a full system, applied end to end.

What are brand guidelines?
Brand guidelines, also called a brand style guide, are the rules that keep a brand consistent: how to use the logo, colour, type, voice, imagery and motion, with clear do's and don'ts. They let anyone represent the brand correctly without having to ask.
What is the difference between brand guidelines and a brand style guide?
They are two names for the same thing. 'Brand style guide' tends to emphasise the visual rules; 'brand guidelines' often adds voice and behaviour too. We build the full version either way.
What should brand guidelines include?
At minimum: logo usage, colour, typography, and do's and don'ts. A complete set also covers voice and tone, imagery, graphics and motion, with real examples of the brand applied. Yours are scoped to what your team actually needs.
Do I need brand guidelines?
The moment more than one person makes anything with your brand, the answer is yes. A designer, a freelancer, a printer, a new hire: guidelines are what stop a brand drifting into inconsistency and losing recognition.
How much do brand guidelines cost?
Guidelines come with every identity we design, and our brand work starts at $280. A standalone guide for an existing brand is quoted to scope. See the full pricing.
